HOME UPDATE: Entryway

HOME UPDATE: Entryway

I’m back today with another home update blog post; today’s topic is the entryway. In case you missed my IG stories (follow me at @ashmarieanderson), I talked about restructuring my blog posts and will only be posting on Tuesdays for the rest of the Summer. Okay, onto the mini entryway transformation!

My entryway was a hodge podge of random things in my house and it looked that way for years. See bottom of this post for the before photo! It was about time for a refresh. I’m all about saving some $$$ so I repainted a table that I already had, to a color that was more fitting for the space. My walls are a lighter color and I wanted the table to stand out which is why I chose a dark charcoal color. I love the way it turned out but it was a pain in the butt to paint. Of course, I chose the most humid of days to paint in the garage but it all worked out in the end. It needed about 3 coats and some spray paint for the handles and viola!

I was torn between 2 different area rugs for the space which is why I turned to you (my IG stories fam) and had you vote on the one you liked the most. It was really close and in the end I chose the jute rug. It’s a 6′ x 4′ area rug and also comes in other sizes. It looks darker in person than it does online.

After the rug choice I moved onto mirrors. I knew I wanted a circular one and found this gold frame 32″ one that looks great in this space. The mirror I had before was very farmhouse and I wanted something new.

Each of the dรฉcor pieces I have on the table are things I’ve had lying around the house. The eucalyptus is a mix on fake and real stems but you can’t tell! I added a few older books, a candle, woven basket and it is complete.

Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
