When I think of bright colors I immediately think of neon yellow and green together in a loud and obnoxious combination from the 80’s. Brights are making a comeback into our Winter 2020 fashion and I’m seeing it all over now. Brights are not always florescent neon colors that require sunglasses be sold with it. No. Sometimes they can just be a brighter shade of any color. Today’s post will hopefully help you understand how to style bright colors and different ways you can wear them.
From Head To Toe
A blazer and trouser suit set in any bright color. Pair with neutrals like white or black underneath. The cutest blazer here that comes in several bright colors.
One Or The Other
Pick a bright color for your bottoms or your top. A pop color trouser looks sophisticated and professional but this also depends on what color you choose. Pair your pop color blazer, sweater or trousers with neutrals. White tones down bright colors while black enhances. Pink is a great option because it’s not as bold but is still trendy and can be worn throughout the year.
Just stepping into brights? Start with a tank or top and look for a pattern with some bright colors in it so it is not so bold.
Layer a top under a blazer or a turtleneck under a sweater. You get just a pop of color without being over the top. Or, layer under a jacket to tone down how much of the bright color is showing. (Like I styled in this post).
Accessories like scrunchies, shoes or hats are the perfect accent to any outfit.
