The combat boots were here a couple years ago and I’ve been seeing more and more make their way back into the fashion world. I’m a fan because they make a statement and they’re so comfortable! It’s a win, win. Today I’m sharing tips on how to style combat boots while wearing them my favorite way; mixing the masculine and feminine. My other tips are at the bottom of this post. Thanks so much for reading.
These boots are from JustFab (y’all know I love JustFab) and I ordered my true size. They fit perfectly with a thin sock but if you plan on wearing a thicker sock (see tip #4 below) then I would size up a half size. I love the croc detail and the two straps. The buckles are functional but not necessary to unbuckle to get on. There is a zipper on the inside. There are also laces that are functional but again you do not need to unlace them to get them on. This style also comes in a dark brown.
How to style combat boots
- Style with a dress or skirt to mix masculine and feminine. (How I styled it in this post = my favorite way!)
- Wear skinny jeans. Cuff them to be just above the boot or tuck them into your boots. This will also work with leggings.
- Wear baggier denim like a boyfriend or girlfriend fit. Cuff them so they cover the top portion of your boots. Add a feminine touch by adding a fitted blazer or a trendy print or pattern.
- Layer with socks. This is both fashionable and functional (to decrease the rubbing on your legs and ankles) They also look great with hosiery. Again, a great mix of masculine and feminine.

These photos were taken by me and my tripod. Yes, I did get stared down by some man in a Tahoe but I waved and he waved back. Yes, I was wearing a dress in 42 degree weather, welcome to blogging in Wisconsin and yes, I think the photos turned out pretty darn good don’t you think!
Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
