Our house is a little unique in that we have a screened-in porch off of our bedroom. Originally when we were building we were just going to put a large window but I’m so glad my husband talked me into this porch. I’d never seen it before and thought ‘how often would we actually use that’ but it has easily become my favorite place in our house. I drink my coffee on the love seat almost every morning, my dogs love to sun out there and with the screens we don’t get attacked by any bugs so I can leave the doors wide open.
My husband and I recently celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and my gift was this patio re-design. Originally we had hand-me-down furniture that I painted with an old outdoor rug from my parents. I posted a photo of it on Instagram. I knew I wanted neutral pieces so I could easily change out pillows and candles when my taste changes, which is inevitable HA! Check out the update below.
I found the love seat at Bed Bath & Beyond and really like the gray color. The cushions are neutral and on the thinner side but comfortable. Also from Bed Bath & beyond is the faux plant in the back and the geometric rug. The side table, the pouf and the palm print pillows are from TJMaxx. They have great outdoor options and you can shop online! Recently there was an At Home store that went into my area and I stopped in to grab a few things like the charger, print, coasters and a few candles. I linked all similar options below.
Like I mentioned above, I knew I wanted the larger pieces to be more neutral so I could play with color elsewhere. Green is my favorite color and I knew I wanted a type of oasis so I looked for palm print pillows. There are so many prints and sizes of outdoor pillows in palm prints out there, it was hard to decide. These pillows are 13 x 13. I like complimentary colors so I wanted to add orange accents where I could. I found the orange pillow on clearance at Target and it’s perfect with both colors in it.
Do you like how this space turned out?
