Grasshopper Goods is a mobile boutique that ‘hops’ around the Madison, WI area. You can read about how the name came about here. Owner, Karen’s vision for this mobile boutique is to support local artists and to give back when possible. The idea is so unique, I love it. You can find the events schedule here and how to book the truck for an event here. Let the shopping come to you!
Today I have a couple looks that are perfect for the 4th of July. The best part though? These looks can also be worn any time during the Spring and Summer. You will get your moneys worth out of these pieces plus, you’re supporting local! There is a great selection of unique clothing pieces here. There’s so many great pieces to choose from.
I love this sparkler tank! Comes in gray and fits TTS. The sides cut down pretty far so I suggest wearing a cami or bralette underneath. It’s very lightweight and you can wear it tucked in, out or knotted at the bottom. I chose gold earrings with this look to pull out the gold in the tee. These were created by a local artist named Melissa Jenkins. Don’t want to carry a purse? How about this Pixie Mood fanny pack! The color is neutral and goes with so much. There are three zipper pockets so it’s got plenty of room to hold everything you need. Belt is also adjustable. You don’t have to wear it around your waist either. I like to wear these belt bags over my shoulder.
This sail boat dress is too cute! Fit is TTS and the material is very good quality. Brand is Blue Platypus and one of the first partners with Grasshopper Goods. The front of this dress has a little extra material at the top so you can adjust how much or little of your chest you are showing. The bottom of the dress swoops down and it comes up just slightly on the sides. Length is very tasteful too. The colors are all here for the 4th but this can also be worn on a boat, to lunch, all Summer long, you name it! Fringe earrings are so trendy right now and these white ones are a keeper! They come in other colors and are so lightweight on the ears.
A local Madison artist, Melissa Jenkins, created the gold earrings and they are gorgeous! She was one of the first jewelry partners with GG too. I love the look and how light they are. The gold tone is great. The white tassel earrings are from a jeweler in Iowa.
Get it all in time for the 4th! Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
