Hello lovelies! Since I recently cleaned out my makeup collection I wanted to let you all know what makeup I’ve been loving for Spring. When I find a routine and products that I like, I wear the crap out of them. This routine is what I’ve been wearing for about a month now. I go minimal for the day to day and add a liner and lashes with a touch more shadow at night.
I mix drug store and high end products. I’ve tried a lot of things over the years. I even started a series over a year ago (TNT: Try New Things) to review new products that I’ve been trying out. I have combination skin leaning towards the oily side. If this is you then I understand the struggle to try and find products that mattify and control oil production. Combating oil with oil has worked for me. For a long time I have been adding a facial oil into my foundation and I found this to be helpful. This may seem contradictory but I promise it works!
Primer // It’s smooth, smells like eucalyptus (pretty strongly) and glides onto my skin. It helps blend out my foundation.
Under eye cream // Comes out orange to combat the blue bags. A little dab will do ya. Also, has a cooling feeling
Foundation // I use the matte and poreless because I am more oily. I am wearing the shade 125. I have tried high end foundations but keep coming back to this one. It’s my ride or die!
I use this beauty blender
Concealer // Believe the hype because this stuff is great! I wear the shade Fair. The longer I use it the more I love it.
Setting Powder // This step is vital if you have oily skin. My makeup will melt off if I don’t set my face. It gets worse in the warmer months because I am sweating too. This setting powder has made my skin look so incredibly smooth. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin and the newest product in my routine is this powder. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Eye Shadow Palette // I have hit pan on a few colors in this palette is how much I have been using it. The soft tones are perfect for everyday. There is a mix of solid and shimmer shades in this palette. I don’t know about you but I love orange tones in the Spring and Summer and this palette has some great options.
Mascara // LOVE this stuff. I’ve gone through so many tubes. It makes my lashes so full and long. I apply twice each morning and again before I go out at night.
Bronzer // I use this for two reasons; 1. It smells just like coconuts and I want to be reminded of vacation each morning and 2. It is a beautiful, buildable shade.

Blush Palette // I have a palette from bh Cosmetics but it is no longer available. I also use the Elf quad. I like a good blush palette because I like to play off of my eye color. Get a good palette that has both orange and pink shades. You will get the most out of it in my opinion.
Highlighter // I’ve been using the Cargo HD highlighter. It’s a very subtle highlight which I think is perfect for everyday. It has a slight gold tint to it too which pairs well with oranges. I’m working on hitting pan on each of my makeup products. I’m on my way with this one!
Primer Water // This spray has multiple uses; primer, refresher and setting spray. I use this as a setting spray because I prefer a cream primer.
Lipstick // I switch between two for day to day wear; one high end, one low end. As I mentioned above I love orange tones in Spring and Summer which is why L’Oreal’s Toasted Almond is my favorite. It’s a nude shade that has a little orange in it. I LOVE the way it looks.
I also use the Giorgio Armani 201 Nude. It’s such a beautiful shade that applied so smoothly. The color makes your lips look healthy by amping up your natural lip color.
Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
