Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. My husband and I didn’t have any plans and it felt really nice. We went to the first Badger football game on Friday night and it was crazy! Other than that we just ran errands and planted a few things around the house. How was your long weekend?
Lately I’ve been into shopping at new places which is why I wanted to create this post. I’ve found some cute pieces from Walmart and I wanted to share them with all of you. I was shocked at how many pieces I loved while walking through. They have a great selection of tanks, camis and basic tees for under $7, a whole wall of jeans in all different fits and really cute Fall staple pieces. I picked out 4 pieces to share with you, one of which is a purse! All 4 items together are under $40 too which is amazing.
First item I found was this beautiful, long, black, floral kimono. I love the length; it hits me right at the knee. There are slits on the sides so it flows so nice when you walk. The brand is Time and True and the material feels quality. This kimono is one size fits all and works well for me. I love the trim detail of the more condensed floral pattern and the vertical stripes through the piece. It is just so cute and being black this will transition into the Fall just fine. Priced at just over $15 it’s a must have because it could also be worn as a swim cover up. I cannot find this exact one online so I linked a very similar one. Be sure to check in store at your local Walmart.
Underneath I chose a red cami and it was only $1.68. Yes, you read that correctly. There were about 8 different colors to choose from and they are unlined. This red cami is not sheer or see through. I was wearing a black bra and you cannot see it at it all through this cami. The quality blew my mind and I will be picking up more colors. You can never have too many layering camis. I bought my true size but you could size down for a snugger fit and be just fine. The brand on this is also Time and True.
Next piece I picked up was this mustard yellow colored henley thermal. I sized up to a Large for this because I did not want it to be tight. This thermal is just over $15 and there were about 6 different colors to choose from (other colors linked below). A thermal is a must have Fall staple and can be worn alone, layered or wear it to bed if you want to. The material is soft and so cozy. After a day of wear I did notice that the sleeves stretched out just a little from pulling them up but nothing to fret over. The buttons are just for show which is ok, but I do wish they were real so I could unbutton just the top one. Lastly is this adorable, slim olive green purse. It’s just under $8 and I think it is so cute. The olive color goes so well with anything in my opinion, and I consider this color a neutral. I love it with the kimono because it really pulls out that beautiful olive color in the flowers. The straps are adjustable but in a very unique way. It adjusts on the sides of the bag and the shorter you make it, the longer the tassels are on the sides. I needed to knot the straps to keep it in place but I love the look of it. There is not a whole lot of room in this bag but it can fit the essentials; phone, thin wallet, lipstick and keys. I took a poll on Instagram and it was split right down the middle on people who liked and didn’t like this bag. What do you think?
I do want to mention the shoes I am wearing. They’re the most adorable, comfortable, taupe colored, block heeled booties and I love them so much. The a.n.a Tiana Women’s Shooties are from JCPenney’s and they’re currently on sale for $21, which is a steal! They go with everything and I’ve already worn them so much this year. They’re great to transition into Fall. They do not rub on your toes at all and the heel height is 3″.
Walmart had such a wide selection of bags to choose from and I was shocked that I only walked out with one. There was such a variety of styles and colors to choose from. I think Walmart is a hidden gem when it comes to accessories and most people tend to overlook it. I honestly thought this was going to be a challenge for me but I was pleasantly surprised at my findings. All items are linked below.
Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
