Hello lovelies!! I am changing things up for this months Inspiration Recreation series and recreating a makeup look! I’m so excited about this and wanted to challenge myself since I’ve fallen into wearing the same makeup look everyday for like 6 months. I hope you enjoy this post as much as I did creating it!
This look is from Kristin Makeup. She created this look using a Deck of Scarlet palette. I really wanted to recreate the eyes. My skin is considerably lighter than Kristin’s but I think I replicated the overall vibe pretty well. I love the pop of green shimmer on the lid with great transition browns surrounding it. This was so much fun to do! My typical routine is to apply my face first: primer, foundation, concealer and powders. BUT this eye look can create a lot of fall out depending on the colors/brands you choose to use. I would suggest dialing in the eyes first and then going in with your face routine.
Milani Face Primer – Applied first with fingers
Hourglass Foundation in the shade Ivory – Applied with the Crown foundation brush
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in shade Fair – Blended in with damp sponge
Makeup Revolution Banana Powder – Applied with Morphe E53 brush
NYX brow Pencil in the color taupe
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel
Milani Bronzer in the shade 05 Soleil – Applied with the Morphe R2 brush
BH Cosmetics Blush Palette – Applied with the Morphe M179 brush
Jaclyn Hill Palette – Applied with the Morphe M505, Morphe MB23 and the Morphe M209
L’Oreal Lipstick 843 Toasted Almond
TIP: I learned this recently from a friend about how to super glue your foundation to your face. Not literally of course, but it does last considerably longer than just applying a primer. In the hot Summer months to get your foundation to not move all day you..
spray 4 sprays of whatever setting spray you have into your hands and then mix in your liquid foundation. Mix together and then apply to your face. It’s amazing at how well this works! Apply the rest of your face as you normally would and then set again at the end. Your makeup WILL NOT MOVE!
I hope you all enjoyed this change of pace post. Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
