Target recently launched 2 new clothing brands this month; Wild Fable for women and Original Use for men. I went shopping for back to school items and picked out 2 outfits all from Wild Fable. This brand is trendy, edgy and features a lot of cropped styles. I picked out a feminine look as well as an edgier look for heading back to school this year. Both of these outfits together were under $100. Talk about savings!’

Wild Fable is a little more affordable than the other brands that Target carries. For example, the floral skirt you will see below is only $15. If this skirt were offered by Mossimo or A New Day this skirt would easily be at least $25 ($24.99) if not closer to $30. There are quite a few pieces to choose from in a wide variety of colors and textures. I did notice a lot of muted and earth tones but that was sprinkled around brighter patterns. I would say this brand is true to size.
For the first outfit I chose a fun and flirty black skirt with a cute and bright floral pattern on it. This skirt has a ruffle on the bottom, it wraps in the front and there is a tie at the side. There is also an elastic band on the back which keeps the skirt from riding up while walking. It’s very comfortable and is great quality material. This skirt would transition well into fall especially with my new Nordstrom mustard colored cardigan and the Steve Madden studded mules you will see below.
The top is a low cut clasp front top. I loved the color and thought it went so well with this skirt. The color is great for Fall. The material is so lightweight and doesn’t cling. I love the long bell sleeves. There is elastic on the back of this top too so it fits a little tighter.
I also opted for a cardigan with this look because if you’re anything like me then you’re cold all the time AND I really like to layer. This pink textured cardigan comes in 3 colors; pink, olive and black. I loved the texture and the material. It’s so soft and cozy. This cardigan is meant to be oversized and wears really nicely on the body. There are pockets which is an added bonus and the sleeves are nice and ballooned. The cherry on top of this adorable sundae is that this cardigan is only $20! Be sure to pick your jaw up off the floor before reading on.
Last piece of this outfit are the shoes. Although these are not Wild Fable or from Target I wanted to address them. These Steve Madden studded mules are from Nordstrom. It goes to show that you can transition this skirt well into Fall by pulling out the right Fall colors like mustard. This mustard color is all over the Fall styling capsule and I’m all about it. You could also choose anything olive with this skirt and it would look great too.
Look number 2 is the more edgier of the outfits I picked out. I was so drawn to the earth tone stripes that I needed to try this jumpsuit on. This jumpsuit is meant to be worn with a top underneath because it swoops so low. When you see it on the hanger you might not think so. I love the vertical stripes, the colors and the elastic pinched waist on the back. The straps are not adjustable which is a bummer but it worked well on me anyways. This jumpsuit is only $28 and is a little heavier of a material but does not cling or feel hot. It will be perfect heading into Fall. I’m 5’7″ and it just sweeps the ground on me.
I did not want to wear this jumpsuit with a top underneath, instead I chose to wear them like a high waisted trouser. I chose this cropped olive green top and sized up to a medium so I could knot it. I love how the look turned out! You could also wear this with any black top or earth tone in this jumpsuit. This crop top is only $8 and there are a lot of color options available. This look is a little bit more laid back.
Both of these outfits together were $99.17 (*price reflects taxes included)
