TNT (Try New Things) Series – June

Hello and welcome back to another try new things, TNT series, post. Per usual, there is another mask. I just can’t help myself. There is a little something extra at the bottom of this post so be sure to check that out.

Sonicare Electric Toothbrush. I’ve had this for a while but on my last couple dentist visits I’ve gotten compliments on my teeth so I thought I would share what I’m using and review it for you guys. I bought this from Target a couple years ago and it still works great. There is a dock for it that you set the toothbrush in to charge. It does take up an outlet spot in your bathroom so if this is a problem, they now make them cordless! This particular one was only $20, what a great price. In the starter kit you get the toothbrush, the charger and a toothbrush cover for travel. This can stay charged for up to 2 weeks too! When you push the button on the front it automatically starts a 2 minute timer to make sure you are brushing thoroughly. Brush your teeth as normal and once the 2 minutes are up, it shuts off. You know when you need to change the brush head because the bristles will begin to lose their color. I change mine out once they are about 3/4 white. I purchase the Target, Up & Up brand replacements and they work just as well as the Sonicare brand ones, but cost less. Brushing for 2 minutes can seem like a long time but afterwards your teeth will feel so clean and fresh. I have completely stopped using a regular toothbrush for this reason. It is just part of my morning and night routine that it does not bother me at all. Sonicare toothbrush 2

Suave Extra Hold Hairspray. I picked this up at Walmart a month ago. I first tried this out at my work and loved it. The scent is amazing and the hold is even more amazing. It’s a great finishing hold hairspray. If you spray too much your hair will get crunchy and clump up so be cautious and hold about 6-10 inches away from your hair and mist for best results. Suave Hairspray 1

L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Clarify & Smooth You can save some money if you get it at Walmart which is where I picked it up. Ulta and Walgreens up-charge these by at least $3. I swear by these L’Oreal masks. I use them all the time and love the results. This mask has little exfoliating beads in it for an extra clean and smooth feeling. It smells like citrus essential oils. I like to apply this mask before I go to bed. You can apply it with your hands or a brush. You leave this mask on for 10-15 minutes and remove in circular motions with warm water until your face is clean. You can use this mask up to 3 times a week. Loreal mask 3

NYX Professional Makeup Powder Puff Lippie. I walked by this at Target and decided to try it out. I’m always on the hunt for the next best nude lip at a great price. This one is under $9 and comes in 8 color options from nude to a nice dark mauve purple shade. This lippie comes in a tube that you squeeze to dispense the product onto the applicator. The applicator is a soft, spongy like material that applies the color very smoothly. It does well to apply overall color but falls short for really defining the lip outline since the applicator is a rounded ball. The color I picked up is called Best Buds. It really does feel like a velvety smooth powder. It dries somewhat matte but doesn’t have that drying feeling like most matte shades do. I like to apply a gloss overtop but this is not necessary. It feels soft and weightless. It does not last through eating and drinking very well but re-application is easy and for the price point, this stuff is great. I really want to try a few other shades too. NYX lippie

BONUS REVIEW
This portion of the blog post is sponsored by BrandBacker.
I have teamed up with Paris Hilton Skincare and received the Paris Hilton Lift & Firm Eye Cream ($78). Paris Hilton launched her ProD.N.A skin care line on June 29th. There are 4 skin care items in the line; a face serum, a cleansing gel, a face cream and the eye cream. Each created specifically to combat signs of aging and UV exposure concerns.
I chose the eye cream because I do have baggy under eyes and some discoloration. For best results use for 14 days straight to see the first signs of improvement. I have been using this product for 9 days, today. I have already seen a smoother under eye area. Discoloration is still a concern but continued use will tell. The packaging for this line looks expensive and high end. I love the sleek black bottles with gold accents. The cap seals tight so you don’t have to worry about spills while traveling with this. The eye cream comes in a pump container for easy dispensing. It applies smooth, is odorless and absorbs quickly. I apply every morning before moisturizer and every night. PH Pro D.N.A. .JPG
It is never too early to start using anti-aging products. The benefits in this little bottle are astounding. The lift & firm eye cream uses the same technology as microalgae enzymes, which if taken in supplement form have shown anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects, to help your skin repair itself. Other ingredients like Persian silk tree extracts work underneath the skin to improve the look of wrinkles from the inside, out.

If you want to purchase anything from the Paris Hilton ProD.N.A skin care line then visit www.parishiltonskincare.com and get 20% off your purchase with code 1STCLASSCHALLENGE Act quickly because the coupon code is only good until July 31st. #FirstClassSkincare #ParisHiltonSkincare @parishiltonskincare on Instagram

That concludes this months TNT series. Be sure to follow so you don’t miss the next one! Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
