Red Accessories – Perfect for July 4th

Red Accessories – Perfect for July 4th

Hello and happy Tuesday! If you follow me on Instagram then you saw my weekend on my stories. Friday night I went to a concert and it was ah-mazing! I saw REO Speedwagon, Sara Evans and Thousand Horses at an outdoor venue in Madison and it was so good despite the cooler temps. Saturday I went to a friend’s house for a party during the day and had a great dinner out with my husband, at night. Sunday was so much fun for me too. My husband and I hosted a gender reveal party for my brother-in-law and his fiancé. The weather turned out so wonderful!

The 4th of July is next week Wednesday. How many of you watch the fireworks? I LOVE fireworks! I’m not sure where we will be watching them this year but there are so many options where I live. What are your plans for the 4th?

Alrighty, let’s get styling the basic white and blue with red accessories! Everyone owns a pair of blue jeans, right? Good, there’s your blue. Everyone owns a white tee or white cami, am I right? Great! You’ve got your white covered too. Now for the red. I don’t wear red tops very often so I don’t have a lot in my closet. I do, however, have some killer red accessories. Bandanas and scarves are so in right now that you probably have a red bandana lying around. Tie it around your head, your neck or on your purse and you’re done! The addition of the belt adds a little extra to the look as well.

Another great way to incorporate some red is with a great pair of statement earrings. They’re cheap, they’re fun and they look so darn cute! These earrings are Sugarfix by Baublebar and I picked them up on clearance, at Target.

I’m in love with shoes. I have so many pairs that I’m running out of room in my closet. I found this pair randomly at the Dollar Store. How could I pass them up? I love the bold color, love the fit and there’s enough room inside to add inserts to make them even more comfortable. TOMS has a similar pair here. I needed a little balance since my shoes were so bold so I added a red cardigan. It tends to get chillier at night still in Wisconsin so you will need an extra layer.

Last accessory I have for you guys is a red necklace. I love how well this necklace pops with the white around it. This outfit also needed a little balance so I added this red belt from Shein and changed out the shoes for a more casual look.

I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July holiday. We are the land of the free because of the brave. A thank you to all the brave souls who fought for us to claim our independence. We celebrate you and we’ll look great in the process. Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,

I love adding pops of red, like a red lip or bandana, to my outfit during this time of the year. I feel so festive!

I agree! I rarely wear a red lip but this time of year is so perfect for it!
