Inspiration Recreation Series

Welcome to the April edition of inspiration recreation. I’m recreating looks from a few new bloggers. New in that I haven’t featured them before but I’ve followed them for a while. I have three looks again this month and I’m trying to get some warmer styles in here but it’s been so cold here in Wisconsin so layers are still needed.

#1 Instagram Image of Hollie Woodward @holliewdwrd I love a good gray dress and when I saw this photo I knew I wanted to recreate it. I love all the neutral tones in this look and it was perfect for a near 50 degree day here in Madison. I am looking for any excuse to wear my mules so this outfit was all around perfect. I really love Hollie’s style. It’s laid back, casual and easy but she makes it look so good. This outfit is perfect for a day of running errands or shopping. It’s easy to slip on and off for all those try on sessions!

#2 Instagram from Tess Christine. I love her! Her style, her personality and she is just so adorable. This image comes from a couple of years ago but I linked it to her Instagram page. Mondays are my hat days because… Monday. My entire last months edition of Inspiration Recreation featured hats. You can see that post here. I like Tess’s hat better because the brim is smaller but my floppy hat still worked here. I opted for an all black outfit as opposed to a black graphic tee. Same chuckies, same black denim, same denim jacket. This style is great, as pictured, for the airport or as I have styled it, for a Monday. So easy and effortless. Everyone should own these staple pieces so you can recreate this look too.

#3 I follow @twentiesgirlstyle on IG and loved her travel outfit. Plus I have the exact same shirt so it made this inspiration recreation real easy. I want to be somewhere warm really bad right now but I have a mini vacation planned in June for my wedding anniversary in Chicago, so I can’t wait for that! I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans and Ashley has a great pair of light wash ones that I just might have to pick up! Mine are a bit darker but still work for this look. I sized up in the ‘Oh Hey Vacay’ tee from Old Navy so I could knot it in the front or tuck it as you see here. I wanted it to be oversized. Since it’s still chilly in Wisco the cardigan is needed plus it’s great to have layers when traveling by plane. Love the sandals with this look and the hat to top it all off.

That wraps up this round of inspiration recreation. Be sure you’re following so you don’t miss next months post! Which outfit is your favorite? Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
