April Showers Bring May Flowers

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Or so the saying goes. With the way Mother Nature is acting here in Wisconsin it will be April snow brings May mud. For argument sake, let’s say that it will be raining a whole heck of a lot in April, are you ready for that? I sure am!
Today I’m talking all about rain gear, specifically this adorable floral patterned rain jacket. I already had the Hunter rain boots from a couple of years ago, you can see a whole post on them here. Last accessory is the clear umbrella. I love this umbrella and found it on amazon.IMG_0390IMG_0392IMG_0370 The rain jacket is very thin and lightweight which makes it perfect for a Spring transition vs. a Fall transition. The temps tend to be warmer this time of year so the thinner rain jacket makes sense. The florals were a must for me. I knew I wanted something springy with a great pattern on it. This jacket has a hood too for obvious reasons. There are two velcro pockets on the fronts and a drawstring to adjust in the back. The back of the jacket tapers so it is longer to cover your butt. The zipper works great and this jacket is very affordable. I was surprised, as I was shopping for rain jackets, at how expensive some of them can be. I’ve picked out a few of my favorites from all different price points. See below.

IMG_0360IMG_0364IMG_0382Rain boots in Spring are a must have. I love my hunter green Hunter boots so much and I wear them every chance I get. There are sock inserts you can put inside to wear them into the Winter months so your feet stay warm. There are sales for these boots every now and then so be sure to watch out for those! I got mine out of season so they were cheaper. Originally they go for $150 at Nordstrom. Whether your rain boots are tall, short, solid colored or patterned, get yourself a pair for this Spring! I’ve picked out my favorites below. Again, at different price points.

IMG_0377IMG_0380IMG_0375I have always had black umbrellas. I really wanted this jacket to stand out so I searched for a clear umbrella. I love the look and being able to watch the rain through it. They’re cheap and you can get one on amazon. I really liked this one because it was more rounded and sloped down farther where you felt you were inside the umbrella. I love the white hook handle too, it’s so cute! I picked out a few clear umbrellas below too.

Do you love the floral pattern rain jacket as much as I do? Thank you all so much for reading. Until next time,
