Here it is ladies and gentlemen, a new series! I find inspiration for my outfits all over the place; magazines, TV, Instagram and Pinterest. I get inspired and re-create outfits because sometimes I get stuck and need a little help. In my new series I will show you my inspiration image and how I re-created it using alternative options within my wardrobe. Some items may be new but this series goes hand in hand with one of my goals this year, which is to recycle my closet. I will credit each image with the creators name (if I can find it), blog (if applicable) and link to where you can find the image. Follow along and spread the word! I haven’t quite hashed out how often I want to post this series but for now it will be a monthly thing. I will plan on showing you 3-5 inspiration images along with my re-creations. I hope you guys like it!
- Inspiration from Loverly Grey’s, Brittany Sjogren. Her recent blog post about the ‘Effortless Graphic Tee‘ spoke to me. I’m all about the graphic tees and easy styling. Her photo inspired me to wear this weekend vibes graphic tee from Old Navy with a lightweight knit pink cardigan from Target. Paired with one of my favorite pairs of distressed denim jeans from Old Navy with a pair of Chinese Laundry blush mules. I paired this cognac bag with this outfit instead of going for a nude color.

2. Pinterest Image – ShopBob Moto Jacket. I just purchased a jacket like this from JustFab. You hear me talk about JustFab all the time and that is because I am a brand ambassador for them but not only that… I love their products and all the variety! Check out JustFab here. I was so excited to style this jacket but was browsing Pinterest for a little inspiration. I really liked this image and wanted to re-create this look because I typically don’t style my jackets with a tucked in shirt. This look took me out of my comfort zone which I’ve been wanting to push more of this year. It’s simple and easy and lets the jacket speak for itself. There are no shoes pictured here which left it open-ended for me. Check out my look below.

3. Inspiration from Chicwish website – Open Knit Coat This jacket is currently on sale along with the gray version that I purchased as well. This coat is a simple basic that everyone should own. It’s easy to style and goes with everything. In these colder months I wore it around like a cardigan with a Winter jacket overtop and it kept me warm and cozy all day. It is thinner and shouldn’t be worn as a Winter coat because it is not lined but it will be perfect to transition into Spring or into next Fall. I took my look straight from the website where I purchased this jacket. I wore my Costco leggings, a tunic top from Shein, loafers from H&M and added this teal scarf I got as a gift last year. I chose to re-create this look with leggings because this tunic top looks better with leggings. If you have a striped shirt that is shorter, jeans would be perfect. I linked similar items below.
