Todays post is going to be all about how to dress for the cold weather and still look cute. I’ve put together two different looks that would be perfect for the day outside. Whether you’re walking around doing some outdoor shopping, running errands all day, going ice skating, if walking is your means of transportation or otherwise, then these outfits will be perfect for you.
First up is the same coat that I featured in my 5 Must Have Winter Essentials post. You can see that here. This coat is amazing and so darn cute. Faux fur is repeated in this outfit; lined hood, earmuffs and boots. I’ve had these snow boots for years now and have gotten so much use out of them. They’re fur lined and so warm. The fur color went so well with these earmuffs that I got from my sister last year. To top it off I added one of my favorite green plaid scarves. I got this one in my FabFitFun box. To sign up for FFF you can click here. I love how this look came together. Recently I’ve been into the BIG fluffy scarves so I can keep my jacket open. I like the look much better than zipping it up. I have basics underneath. An oversized black sweater and leather leggings. I wanted the base to be very neutral and the Winter accents to be the star of the show.

This next look is featuring an oldie but a goodie. I’ve had this longer tan coat for years and still love it. A problem with lighter colored coats is that they show more dirt. You can get them dry cleaned but over time it can be costly. Despite all that, this coat is so warm and cozy and the color is perfect for the look I wanted to create. This Jacket was my starting point and I built from there. I added tan army boots from years ago, added a gingham scarf that I got from my sister, added another Winter must have; the beanie and finished with some circular vintage flare sunnies. I went tan on tan on tan and I love how it turned out. Same base items for this look too. I like the colors in this scarf. The reds and tans really pull this whole outfit together. The background helps too. : )
What are your favorite outdoor activities? Would these outfits be something that you would wear? I love the snow and the Winter time. Being bundled up and cozy are what I love the most about it. Thank you all for reading. Until next time,
Nice! I never know how to dress in the cold
