TNT Series: November

Hello and welcome to another TNT (try new things) series. November was so busy and flew by. With Thanksgiving break, time off work and my birthday I can’t believe November is already over. That just means that we are that much closer to Christmas! With the hustle and bustle of this crazy month I still managed to try out a few new beauty products. One of these items I did receive for free. Check them out below and leave me a comment if you have tried any of these before.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe $10
I picked this brow pencil up a couple of weeks ago from my local Target. I was using the Maybelline brow pencil before and wanted to switch it up. The color is spot on but it does not blend out very easily. You have to go over the same area again and again to get a good fill. The price is right for how well it works. I am willing to spend more for a brow pencil that actually works better. I do love that there is a spooly on the end of this. It makes switching back and forth from end to end much easier. It lasts quite a while and there seems to be a lot of product in it. There are 8 shades to choose from which is a pretty good variety. I tend to go lighter because you can always build up. Overall not bad for $10 but I would stick with Maybelline’s version of this.

NYX Professional Makeup Dark Circle Concealer in Medium $6
Another NYX product for you guys. As of late I have had an issue with dark circles under my eyes. This product, with the subtle tint of orange, helps combat dark circles. I apply this product after primer and before any foundation. The formula is creamy and blends out nicely. I have seen no caking under my eyes when I have used this. It works right away and hides under foundation and concealer. For $6 this product does a really good job. I was impressed at how opaque it came out. There are 3 shades to choose from depending on how bad your ‘issue’ is. Again, I picked this up at Target. It comes in a cute little air tight pod that has lasted me quite a while. If you’re looking for an inexpensive dark circle corrector, I would recommend trying this one out.

Big Sexy Hair Powder Play LITE $17.95 (I received this product for free)
You can get this one at Ulta. The dispenser is what I like about this product. You hold it 6″ away from your hair and spray. It dispenses a cloud of product and you work it in with your hands. It adds amazing volume and texture. It feels sticky and weird on your hands so be sure to wash off afterwards. Once this stuff is in your hair it’s not going anywhere. This little bottle has lasted me awhile because I don’t use it all the time. A little goes a long way too. Even though it comes out white, it disappears once worked into all hair colors. It does leave a gritty sticky texture at the roots but I can deal with that in exchange for great volume. IMG_5269

Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo $23
I bought mine at Ulta. The bottle is a little small for the price which is a bummer. The smell is amazing. If you have ever tried Moroccan Oil products, this smells just like that. It comes out white but after working it into the roots, it does not show up in my dark hair. I only needed about 3-5 sprays to get everywhere I needed it. It worked pretty well to get rid of any excess oil. I would buy this one based on the smell alone. : ) IMG_5270

I also tried Stitch Fix again this month. To find out all about it click here.
If there is anything you guys want me to review, please let me know in the comments below. Thank you so much for reading. Until next time,
