Hello and welcome to another round of TNT. This month, October, I have tried a few more skin care items.

Miss Spa Clear Blemish Spot Treatment Patches. I picked mine up at Target for $4. A friend told me about these and I had to try them. I really like the Miss Spa line. I use their sheet masks all the time. They almost always have a deal like buy 3 get the 4th for free so I tend to stock up every other Target visit. Inside this pack there are two individual packs of these spot patches. There are two different size circles depending on the size of the blemish you are trying to rid your face of. They are clear too so you can’t even tell that they are on your face. For these to be effective you have to wear them for at least 8 hours. I had a few pimples that I tried these patches on and in the morning they were either ready to pop (gross, sorry) of they were reduced in size. They are sticky on one side, which is the side that goes on your face, they don’t smell like anything and they don’t irritate the skin come time to take them off. One thing I was not too keen on is that you get 16 of these patches in a pack. Once you open the pack it shortens the life of them. I don’t get a whole lot of pimples very often so many of these will be trashed and wasted. So, if this is you, just place them in a small Ziploc bag so extend the life of these little wonders. I would recommend trying these out especially because they are very cheap, you get a lot and all you have to do it sleep with them on. It’s so simple.
Murad Retinol Youth Serum. I picked mine up at Ulta during their 21 days of beauty back in the beginning of September. It was half off making it $44 instead of $88. I wanted to try this out because you can never start to early to rid yourself of wrinkles and keep your skin looking young. I use this every night before I go to bed followed by a facial oil. It says to use a moisturizer afterwards but I prefer a face oil. The scent is nice and floral. This serum has a slight pink tint to it, it applies smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. I concentrate this where wrinkles might appear; corners of my eyes, my forehead and the tops of my cheekbones. After two months I see minimal difference but that’s not to say it’s not working. I don’t have many wrinkles to begin with but like I mentioned above, you never can start too early to fight wrinkles. I would recommend using this minimally so it lasts you a long time. I plan to continue using this product and I will stock up on 2 the next sale!

NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer is $13 at Target. I have been on the hunt for a good redness reducing primer and I have to say that I like this better than the Maybelline Master Prime. The consistency is much more smooth and it feels a lot like the Smashbox Photo Primer. I would recommend shaking this up before each time you use it. The color is very green and looks like goo which take a little time to get used to but it works! It feels very silky on the skin and blends out smoothly. After you let it set for about a minute it really does help with any redness. I noticed reduced redness on my forehead and around my nose. You don’t need much otherwise your face feels too slippery. It doesn’t create any shine either. I would recommend trying this out for $13. It’s a good alternative option to the Smashbox primer which goes for $36. Overall I liked this primer for the drug store price. Try it out today!
