Where the magic happens

Hello and welcome to my blog! I will think of a more clever intro in the coming posts, don’t you worry.

I wanted to start by sharing with you guys where the magic happens. By magic I’m referring to my blog posts. It took me over a year to decide how I wanted my office to look, what I wanted to put in it and to pick a color scheme. I am very meticulous when it comes to my house decor, especially my office.

A little background first. My husband and I built our house a little over two and a half years ago in a small town in the country. We live on four acres of bliss with our two dogs. My office was the last room in our house to be decorated and it sits in the front of our house. One of the largest windows in our home is in my office and so much sunlight comes pouring in. (As I’m sitting here writing this…) It feels so cozy and calming in here. It’s my favorite room in our house.

On with the TOUR! Scroll down to check out photos of my office. Everything that I can link will be linked. Feel free to comment. I would love to hear what you think. I’m in the market for a light colored cabinet or short bookcase for the wall to the left of the window. Any suggestions, please let me know!

Wall Color is Simply Sage from Behr. We got our paint from Home Depot. Sahara area rug from Target. We bought the Johansson Antique White Desk from Bellacor.com but it is no longer available. Bellacor has so many different options at every price point. The faux flowers are from Hobby Lobby. The chair, desk lamp and curtains are from Home Goods. Gold desk organizer is sold out at Target but I linked another one here. The white watering can is from Ikea. The corner unit was made by my dad years ago. The wall gallery of frames are from Ikea, mason jars on the wall are from Kohls, arrow, ‘A’ and many of the other frames are from Gordmans. The wreath, Wisconsin palette art and the banner are all made from my friend Elizabeth. Check out her Etsy shop, The Lofty Sparrow, here. I made the road map canvas print. I can to be crafty every once in a while. 🙂

Let me know what you think below!

Until next time, Ashley
